Licks and Leashes is a full service pet care provider, offering your pet the comforts of home while you are away from home.  Whether you are at work and your dog needs a friendly face, a giant hug and a good walk, or wants to spend a few hours playing at my house with some furry friends, Licks and Leashes is the perfect choice to give you and your pet peace of mind!

In addition, our staff maintains a high level of integrity, kindness, friendliness and are graduates in "pampering your pet!"

Boarding

While you are away on vacation or a business trip, you can send your dog to my home for a little vacation of his or her own!  Here, he or she will live in a home environment with other dogs to play with, toys and treats, a large, securely fenced-in yard to run around in, and / or several walks per day, and lots and lots of love!  Private dog boarding is a great option for social doggies who love lots of attention.  Your pup has the luxury of staying in a home-away-from-home environment where they can have 24-hour care so his or her needs will be met.  They will receive tons of attention, socialization and exercise.  If your dog needs constant companionship, struggles with separation anxiety, has special needs, or enjoys socialization, we will provide love and support while you are away.  We do not use crates unless specifically requested; rather, our doggy guests run the house as they would at home.  To offer you this service, your dog needs to be social with other dogs, have a regimented flea and tick control schedule, spayed or neutered, as well as up-to-date on all immunizations.  You can visit our home with your dog for a trial visit to ensure that you will feel comfortable with this option.  We also offer to stay at your home if you prefer.  

House Sitting

When your dog enjoys the comforts of home, let us come to you!  We can watch your dog in his or her own space while you are gone.  Not only do we feed, walk, and play with your pup, we will bring in the mail each day, put out the trash/recycling and bring the bins back to house after pickup. This service is not limited to dogs. We take care of cats, fish, hamsters, etc.  Licks and Leashes  will customize this service to meet your needs!  

Daily Check-in

While you are at work, we will gladly stop by to check in on your pet.  We will make sure he or she is safe, has water, provide a treat, and spend some time just hugging and playing! 

Daycare

If you would like your dog to have socializing time with other furry friends, daycare is an excellent choice!  We will pick up your dog from your home, bring him back to my home, and spend four hours playing with other dogs in a large securely fenced-in yard, and a comfy recreation room. We take walks around the neighborhood and along the creek on Beach Drive.  Your dog gets to meet new friends, enjoy the fresh air, and learn socialization skills.  And after four hours of fun, your dog will be too tired to chew on your shoe when you get home!  

We provide random or weekly scheduled play dates to fit your needs.  Mix and match!  3 days of daycare / 2 days of walks.  Whatever works best for you and your family!  

PRIVATE WALKS

Many of our pet clients have parents who work outside of the home or have otherwise busy schedules.  We are available to visit your dogs as often as needed during the day.  It is very important and beneficial for your dog to have regular exercise.  Like people, dogs require daily physical activity and mental stimulation to stay healthy in body and mind.  Fresh air and exercise do a doggie good!  On our private dog walks, we provide one-on-one leash walking sessions in the areas of your preference,usually within your neighborhood.  We understand that every dog has different needs, so the duration of the walk, the distance, and the pace of our exercise will vary to suit each of our clients.  After our walk, we provide fresh water, a treat (if permitted) hugs and a good bye kiss!  

Puppy Training

Do you have a new puppy that needs consistent training, but you just don't have the time to devote to this very important task?  We will train your puppy to behave and still have fun playing and growing.  Puppy training includes commands such as sit, stay, heel, come, down.  We also train the puppy to walk on a leash without pulling.  The key to success is for you to enforce the behavior your puppy learns from us while he or she is with you at home! Consistency is key.

Grooming

We are currently investigating offering this service to our clients who are with us for daycare or boarding.  Services such as bathing, nail trimming, and grooming would be offered in my home once or twice a week.  Please let us know if you are interested.  The more interest we have, the more of a reality this service will become!

15-30-Minute Daily Check-in

Our staff will stop by your home to make sure your pet is safe, comfortable, has fresh water and a treat! Lots of hugs and kisses are thrown in as well! We can also water any pants, take out/in trash cans, bring in mail etc.

4-Hour Daycare

We pick up your dog in the morning, bring him or her back to our facility for big yard play, socializing, and lots of love and attention.  We then return your dog home, safe, sound, and tuckered out!

30-Minute Private Walk

Our professionally trained walker will arrive at your home to greet your dog and prepare him or her for a 30 minute walk, in all weather!  We take care to make sure your dog is exercised, does his or her "business" (always picking up behind them!) and is safely returned home.  We provide fresh water, a treat (if permitted) and hugs and kisses.

PUPPY TRAINING

Start your relationship with your new puppy off right by teaching him or her good behavior from the beginning.  Our trainer will work with your new puppy to teach basic commands such as sit, stay, heal, come and walk on a leash.   We do the hard work, and you just need to enforce the good behavior at home!

We are always in need of temporary help when one of our walkers is on vacation or out sick.  If you would like to make some extra money during the day by being on our call list and taking on a dog walking route from time to time, please send us a message.

Occasionally, we have opportunities for temporary assignments such as house sitting during the week or on weekends.  If you would like to make some extra money by staying at a client's home and taking care of their pet, please send us a message.  

Day Care Helper - weekdays and weekends

Our day care business is booming, and we need some extra hands!  Day care help is needed Monday through Friday during the hours of 9am and 2pm.
